gnupod-tools software package provides command-line tools for the iPod family of portable music players, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnupod-tools
gnupod-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnupod-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnupod-tools *
You will get with gnupod-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
